Wild Rice

Wild Rice

This is my super duper quick 4 minute wild rice recipe. Wild rice is high in protein and low in fats. It has a mild nutty flavour which is very different to other types of rice. The beauty of this rice is that can be eaten alone, accompanied with a main dish (we usually serve with tandoori fish), or added to salads.

Instructions
  1. Wash wild rice throughly in a bowl
  2. Pour rice into your Instant Pot / Pressure King Pro pot
  3. Add water, salt and olive oil
  4. Carefully close the lid (turn the vent to sealing to prevent steam from escaping) and set the pot to ‘HIGH PRESSURE mode' and set the time for 4 minutes
  5. After 4 minutes, let the pressure naturally release from the pot
  6. Be very careful opening the lid and please make sure all the pressure has escaped from the pot. Scoop wild rice into a plate and enjoy!
