Sesame ladoos or sesame sweet balls – low carb recipe
As Makar Sankranti – Indian Kite festival approaches, sweets are made with sesame seeds to mark the special occasion.
These sesame ladoos are low carb.
Ingredients:
100g sesame seeds
40g pure ghee
96g sweetener
1 tablespoon grounded chai seeds in 3 tablespoons of water
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

- 100 g sesame seeds roasted and cooled
- 40 g pure ghee
- 96 g sweetener
- 1 tablespoon grounded chai seeds
- 3 tablespoons water

Instructions
- On a low flame roast the sesame seeds in a pan. Stir in intervals until golden brown. Remove and keep aside in a plate.
- In a small bowl put together the grounded chai seeds and water, set aside to thicken.
- In a dry grinder add roasted sesame seeds (leave 3 tablespoon aside), ghee, sweetener, cardamon powder, vanilla essence and blend until a paste forms.
- Take small amounts of the mixture and make balls. Dip each ball in the leftover sesame seeds.
- Leave the balls in an airtight container overnight, to dry.⠀
